93 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE (40TH ANNIVERSARY)
Torch Red...Arctic White Leather...Rare...Beautiful...

This is the 40th Anniversary Edition which was built to commemorate 40 years of Corvette production (since 1953), and it has a lot of unique items, such as the "40th" Logo sewed into the backrests, a "40th" Emblem on the Console, a special emblem on the hood, unique "40th" Owner's Manual and books, as well as other things. This car was owned by a local gentleman for a number of years. He was 85 years old when he sold it. It was purchased brand new right here in Sioux Falls, SD. The only reason he sold it was because he was not driving it much anymore due to failing eyesight.
With this car having the optional 6 Speed Manual Transmission and the LT-1 300 h.p. V8, it is a pleasure to drive. It has lots of acceleration, but also stops very well due to the factory Bosch ABS II Anti-Lock Brakes. The most surprising thing to me was the amazing fuel mileage it will attain on the interstate. Cruising at about 70 mph, it will yield about 34 miles per gallon. I know - crazy aye!!?? Well, it does, because it has an Electronic Trip Computer and I have checked it multiple times. Awesome fuel mileage for a performance car, right? (Of course the car is very light and the LT-1 is almost in idle mode at 70 mph, at right about 1700 rpm - that is where the great fuel mileage comes from.)
Because of the (Code 10) Arctic White Leather Sport Bucket Seats of which only 622 were built, this car is quite rare. I think the Torch Red color with White Leather is a VERY Striking color combination. Lets put it this way. You simply cannot drive this car anywhere without people really staring at it and it is very common to hear people say, "Wow, sharp Corvette..!!" And.., this is not necessarily from Corvette people. It seems to come from all age groups.
There were only 5,692 Convertibles built in 1993 out of a total of 21,590 Total, so this is a rather low production car. To my knowledge it has NEVER had any abuse, and is in superb condition. The body is in pristine condition and the paint is very nice. The interior is in equally superb condition. There are NO stress cracks or paint deterioration anywhere on the car. All electronics work as they should and the A/C blows ice cold.
As will see when you view the photos of this Corvette, I have the Original Window Sticker, Special "40th" Black Manual Holder, Special "40th" Owner's Manual, "40th" Video Tape, and the other four Manuals that come with the car from the factory. (It is getting quite rare to have the Window Sticker and Manuals all intact with older Corvettes, especially when they are a collectible year such as this one.)
In general, I am not a huge C4 fan, but..., this car REALLY stands out from the crowd. In my opinion, it is the best looking C4 Corvette I have ever seen. It really does get the attention when you drive it..!!
